Can my door glass be repaired instead of replaced?

Unfortunately, side door glass is tempered (not laminated like a windshield) so it shatters into small pieces on impact and cannot be repaired. Full replacement is always required. Rear windshields with minor chips in the defroster-free zone may sometimes be repaired — we will advise you on the best course of action.

How long does a side window replacement take?

A door glass replacement typically takes 1–2 hours. A rear windshield replacement takes slightly longer (2–3 hours) due to the adhesive cure time required before the vehicle is safe to drive. We will give you an accurate time estimate when you book.

Will my defroster still work after rear glass replacement?

Yes. Our technicians carefully reconnect the defroster grid connections and test the system before completing the job. We also inspect and repair any broken defroster tabs on the new glass if needed.

Does insurance cover side and rear glass replacement?

Most comprehensive auto insurance policies cover all glass including door and rear windows. Many policies have a separate glass rider with zero deductible. We verify your coverage and bill your insurer directly so there is no out-of-pocket cost in most cases.

Do you offer mobile glass replacement?

Yes, we offer mobile service for door glass replacement at your home or office. Note that rear windshield replacement requires a controlled environment for proper adhesive curing, so those are best done at our shop. Ask us when booking and we will confirm availability in your area.
